Stargazey Fish Pie - The Traditional Dish Of Mousehole In Cornwall

The county of Cornwall in England has created a few internationally known icons in the area of food. Cornish Clotted Cream, Cornish Pasties, Cornish Yarg Cheese and the recently installed Cornish Sardines. Well there is another food tradition that should be appreciated, and that is the "Stargazy Pie", a dish created at the Ship Inn in the deep west of Cornwall to feed the starving villagers during a stormy winter many years ago. Tom Bowcock the fisherman who risked his life to catch the fish is celebrated to this day.
